Had a vacation of two weeks. It was great. I did a lot of interesting
stuff (math behind asciiworld[1] and asciifield[2]). It's been three
years since I've done anything like that. And I missed it. Computer
graphics is so much fun! Even if it's something as simple as
asciifield.
Plus, today's computers have gotten extremely powerful. Linux drivers
are pretty good, too. This was very different when I initially learned
this stuff. You'd have to refrain from using this feature or that
feature because your computer couldn't do it. Now, my integrated Intel
GPU easily outranks every GPU I ever had. Not to mention the brutal
power of today's CPUs.
It's time to revisit OpenGL.
