                    Light at the End of the Tunnel

Things have been exceptionally dark for the last several months, and
quite dark over the last few days. Today, during the session with my
psychiatrist, I finally broke down. It's been too much.

My psychiatrist wrote a note excusing me from work for the next week.
That is a blessing. She also told me to bring to her the disability
paperwork next week, and she will sign it. She will only sign
disability for one month at a time, but one month of reprieve from the
awful conditions at work... will feel like a lifetime.

And so it is, today I celebrate. I bought a pint of Ben & Jerry's, and
am enjoying it with Marcus, one of my three. I will likely be put on a
heavier dose of medication, and I think I'm ready for that. All in
all, it's been a good day, and it looks like it might be a brighter
