More Truth about datamat!rumor
ANYONE can fake the origin of a news article.
Just run "rnews" with a syntactically correct article on stdin.
Thus, a user at unc could type:
rnews << NET.GENERAL <ETC. AYORKTOWN.123 YORKTOWN!SMITH EOF>
EOF
The article will have a contributor-line of "...!unc!yorktown!smith".
The news README.ms documentation mentions this possibility,
and suggests public-key encryption as a cure.
