End of SH Comic Quiz, The WINNERS, The Answers!
Thank you to all of you who participated. I appreciated your interest and
noble attempts.
I will first give the questions and answers to each question and then list
the scores of the winners. By the way, there were NO LOSERS, only different
scores. If your score didn't meet your expectations this time, sit down
and read some more comics at the breakfast or dinner table so you'll be
more prepared in the future.
AND NOW....THE ANSWERS!!!
1.	What is the name of the super-villain who could move at super-speed
with the aid of a special medallion? Ans. Dr. Zoom/The Reverse Flash
	(10 points)
2.	Name at least four inhumans that belong to the Great Refuge.
Ans.- Gorgon, Triton, Black Bolt, Crystal, Karnak, Medusa
	(10 points)
3.	The Silver Surfer, Before he became such, had a lover. What was her
	name? Ans.- Shalla Bal.
	(10 points)
4.	Name at least five different spells used by Dr. Strange in his adven-
tures. Answer- The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, Flames of the Faltine,
Vapors of Valtoor, Winds of the Watoomb, Sheild of the Seraphim, Rings
of Ragadoor, Fangs of the Faltine, Moons of Munipoor.
	(10 points)
5.	What was the name of Mister Miracle's lover and the name of her fighting	unit? Answer- Big Barda and The Female Furies.
6.	Name all six of the original Metal Men and the seventh one who became
a companion to one of them. Answer- Gold(leader), Iron, Lead, Tin,
Mercury, Platinum(Tina) and (made by Tin from a do-it-yourself robot
kit) Nameless, who he later called "Beauty."
	(10 points)
7.	Who was the "Last Boy on Earth?" Answer- Kamandi. (10 points)
8.	What was the name of Aquaman's wife? Answer- Mera. (10 points)
9.	Name one DC and MARVEL super-villain from the Soviet bloc.
(To be honest, I didn't know that many, so this was a give-away
because I would take almost any answer as correct. Some of the
responses were:) (DC)=Sonar, (MARVEL)=Crimson Dynamo, The Unicorn,
Titanium Man, The Black Widow (although she is NOW a Super-Hero),
The Red Ghost and the Red Guardian. (10 points)
10.	Which DC SH is a magic-user, what is his mystical symbol, and from
what culture does the symbol originate? Answer- Dr. FATE, an ankh
	(the Egyptian symbol of Life).
BONUS Questions (these were 5 points each and only used if you had less than
	a perfect score 0f 100.
1.	Which member of the Legion of SH wore a bionic prosthesis for several
	years? Answer- Lightning Lad
2.	What was the name of the Falcon's Pet Hawk? Answer- Redwing.
Half of the questions were DC and half were Marvel. Therefore, everyone,
regardless of preference was working at an equal disadvantage.
The final scores were:

and the only woman to enter this competition. Good Work, Marta!

82 POINTS (72 + 2 Bonuses) to Tim Tjarks, Bell Labs(Indian Hill), Lisle,
Illinois. The only member of ANY Bell Labs location to dare
attempt this challenging quiz. Good Work, Tim!

representative in this quiz contest!!! Congratulations to our
	Canadian colleagues!
That brings to a close the GRAND COMIC BOOK SUPER-HERO TRIVIA QUIZ. I hope
all of you enjoyed it. I'm going to take a rest from this now before we all
get sick of it. But in the words of a certain Asgardian Thunder God:
BUT VERILY, MY COMRADES-AT-ARMS, BE EVER WATCHFUL. FOR ALTHOUGH ALL OF YE
HATH PROVEN THY METTLE IN THIS HOUR, AND THOUGH I SHALL TAKE MY LEAVE FOR THE
NONCE, LOOK YONDER TO THAT DAY WHEN I SHALL ONCE AGAIN SET FOOT WITHIN MIDGARD
(i.e. net.gmes.trivia) AND THOU SHALT ONCE AGAIN BE CALLED UPON TO TEST
THYSELF!
				FARE THEE WELL!!
