Unbound (Unbound, Book 1) Formerly Casting Power
Noreena's magic will consume her if she allows it to be set free.
She's sure of it.
When her mother decrees that Nora's powers will be unbound after graduation, Nora knows she's running out of time.
Obsessed with finding a way to remove the 'her' from 'her magic', Nora is oblivious to what's brewing around her.
By the time tragedy strikes, it's too late.
Thrust into a new world where magic dictates identity, Nora struggles to cling to the normalcy she's always craved.
She doesn't want to show anyone why she loathes her powers--why her powers scare her--and why, if they were smart, they would leave her alone.
But these people aren't smart.
They are even less ready for the truth that her mother had tried to hide for so long: she is the most powerful of them all.

Predicted an apartment building fire when I was 9
When I was 9 years old my family (mom dad and three sisters) went to take my mom up north to Maine, in order to finish her masters degree. We live in South carolina so It was quite the trip. (Same year as the DC sniper.) So as we were coming back home, I was passed out asleep and had THE MOST vivid dream of my life. In my dream we were still riding in the car, when we came to a stop. And I felt this intense heat, and next thing I knew I saw this huge building in an inferno. But everyone else in the car was facing forward, like they didn't see it. The next thing I remember was the heat getting sooo hot I'm thinking the car is about to burn up.
Thinking this caused me to jump up crying out of my deep sleep. As my sisters were trying to figure out what was wrong, I looked up out the window I saw the burning building and nothing was there.
Fast forward a day and a half later we were all home and my dad had the news on. Because of the DC sniper, and there it was,an apartment building caught on fire the night before and killed a bunch of people. I'm going on 31 now and that dream still #&@$s with me.

Mermaids And The Vampires Who Love Them
Everyone knows mermaids and vampires can't date.
But when a mermaid ends up at a boarding school with a smoking hot vampire for a roommate, will love take a bite? Just before her senior year of high school, mermaid Waverly Fishwater learns she's being transferred to a cross-cultural boarding school for supernaturals.
But reckless gods, single-minded werewolves, and virtuous fairies are the least of her troubles! West Marin Heights has vampires, and mermaid blood is their favorite snack.
So Waverly has to learn who to trust, and fast -- especially since one of her new roommates is a vampire who's way too hot for her to handle! But just when she's starting to fit in, she discovers a dark plot that could destroy the school and the oceans beyond.
If Waverly is to expose the evil scheme and get back to her normal teenage problems--overprotective parents, math homework-avoidance, and maybe, just maybe, getting a boyfriend--she's going to have to accept the help of a ragtag group of classmates.
Will her plans be a supernatural catastrophe, or can Waverly rally this eccentric band of heroes to save the day? [[Word Count: 90,000-100,000 words]] Cover designed by Natasha Shaikh

As it turns out, every time I die, I go back in time 10 seconds to try and prevent my death.
The fall from the building was about 11 seconds.

I warmed my hands over the fire, proud of myself for finally burning away those traumatic memories.
My skull ached from the trepanation, but I knew the pain would leave me forever if I could just scrape out one more section of brain to sacrifice to the flames.

MADE
Mari's life is turned upside down when she is left nearly dead in a parking lot by someone who she thought loved her.
It was a miracle she lived until the next morning when someone found her frozen to the pavement, bloody, beaten and bruised.
A miracle they said.
DNA he said.
When strangers appear in her life, Mari is thrust into a world of dark souls and secret civilizations.
Where her family of flesh and blood thrive, and dangerous forbidden relationships swing in front of her face like pieces of fruit.
Mari struggles to grasp the lie that is her life and the pressure being thrust upon her by a prophecy that feels more like a curse.
If that wasn't enough to deal with, she must now bring her friends into it.
Dragging them into this world of wind and water and blazing infernos.
Both real flames and flames of the skin.
Fire or water, wind or earth, green or grey.
Mari must choose and choose now.
Because people are dying.
And dying fast.
