My son verbalized my random thought.
I'm in my living room, on one TV playing a video game (This War of Mine if you wanted to know) and my 9 year old is in the other room, on another TV playing Mirror's Edge. there is a wall separating us. My son is autistic, further on the scale. His can speak, but it is mostly 2-3 words sentences, or phrases he memorized from movies, music, whatever. You couldn't hold a general conversation with him.
So, as I'm playing, randomly in my head, pops up a behind the scene from Jackass 2. It was a shot of Rick Kostik, the cameraman, holding up a camera while the guy who threw cards at WeeMan, is throwing cards at Rick, while Juicy J from Three Six Mafia is saying "One more. One more". Random scene. No reason why I'm thinking this or why it popped up in my head. It's been a minute since I've seen any of the Jackass movies. So while this thought is in my head, I suddenly hear my son, in the other room, going, "One More. (pause) One More".
I am not even lying when I say I got the absolutely weirdest feeling. I don't like that feeling. He didn't get up or say anything else. Just said "One More. One More. one more" almost in time with the random thought in my head.
Nope. Don't like that.

Thank every single last one of your for your comments, especially those on the ASD spectrum. You are helping me understand my son on his level, even if I won't even get there. I am almost positive that he is on a different level and hopefully over time, we can work with it, just to help him communicate even more. I wish I could really get in depth with all your comments, but it is a busy life with a child with ASD. Seriously, thank you all.

Music spilled through the room as my toddler tugged on the cord of his new musical toy.
